Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing residential and commercial construction, reconstruction, and restoration projects from contract execution through final completion. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards and client expectations.

The Project Manager acts as the primary point of accountability for project execution, coordinating internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, insurance partners, and clients while maintaining profitability and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Manage multiple construction and restoration projects simultaneously from start to finish.
  • Review scopes of work, estimates, contracts, and project specifications prior to project launch.
  • Develop project schedules, timelines, and milestone tracking.
  • Coordinate labor, materials, subcontractors, and equipment requirements.
  • Conduct project kickoff meetings with internal teams and subcontractors.
  • Ensure projects follow company SOPs, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed.

Financial & Budget Management

  • Manage project budgets to achieve or exceed gross profit targets.
  • Track job costs including labor, materials, subcontractor costs, and equipment usage.
  • Review and approve purchase orders, subcontractor agreements, and vendor invoices.
  • Identify cost overruns early and implement corrective actions.
  • Approve and process change orders with proper documentation and client authorization.
  • Forecast project financial performance.

Restoration & Insurance Coordination

  • Interpret insurance scopes, adjuster estimates, and carrier requirements.
  • Collaborate with estimators to ensure accurate scope alignment.
  • Maintain communication with insurance adjusters, TPAs, and property owners.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance guidelines and documentation standards.
  • Assist with supplement development when required.

Client & Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as primary client contact throughout project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular project updates and manage client expectations.
  • Resolve customer concerns and maintain high customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Maintain professional relationships with referral partners, adjusters, and property managers.

Team & Subcontractor Management

  • Manage field supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure subcontractors meet quality, safety, and schedule expectations.
  • Conduct regular site visits and project inspections.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability for field teams.

Quality Control & Compliance

  • Perform jobsite inspections to ensure workmanship meets company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, manufacturer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain complete project documentation including photos, reports, permits, and inspections.
  • Oversee project closeout procedures including punch lists and final walkthroughs.

Safety Oversight

  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA compliance.
  • Conduct safety meetings and jobsite hazard assessments.
  • Ensure proper PPE usage and safe work practices.
  • Report and document jobsite incidents.

Project Closeout

  • Verify completion of all contracted scope.
  • Ensure final documentation and billing requirements are met.
  • Conduct final client walkthrough and obtain completion sign-off.
  • Ensure final invoices and job costing are completed accurately.
  • Assist in collection and project profitability review.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of project management experience in construction, restoration, or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices.
  • Experience managing insurance restoration projects preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, scopes, and construction documentation.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software platforms.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Restoration industry certifications.
  • Experience working with insurance carriers or TPAs.
  • Estimating experience.
  • Background in water, fire, or storm restoration.
  • OSHA safety training or certification.
